Our platform is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud, their servers are based in the EU. The data is partitioned by institution (student and teacher accounts…), but it is possible for teachers to voluntarily share their educational resources with the Tactileo community.
As the platform is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud, we benefit from all of its advantages, especially security (different levels of data backup, server redundancy to prevent any breakdown) and elasticity (the number of servers allocated to the platform varies according to site attendance in order to guarantee optimal access).Tactileo is based on HTTPS mode (encrypted connection) for all connections from the mobile application to the platform and on all pages. An exception to this rule is the reader of educational resources which is not related to any personal information and that allows teachers to embed external resources in Tactileo (youtube videos, etc.).
